How do I spread the word about new services I offer?

Congratulations! You started offering a new service for your customers, but none of them know about it yet. What is the best way for you to get the word out? We have three suggestions that you can use to do just that.

  1. Send an email to your current customer list. Let them know about the new service and how they can interact with you. Be sure to provide a call to action like “visit it my website to find out more.” Sharing details about how they can interact with that service is important too. Let them know how to utilize the new offering and what the benefit will be to their current life/business.
  2. Utilize social media. Make an announcement. Change the banner on your profiles to reflect your new service or offering. Throw up a few different posts that explain how one would use your new service and how they can hire you to perform it. Pin it to the top of your profile if that is possible on the platform you are using.
  3. Plan an event involving your new service. For example, let’s say you are now approved to be a RON provider. You could plan an event between the hours of 10 and 3pm where you will notarize certain documents utilizing your new RON capability. You can create social posts explaining the process, what they are required to bring, what kind of technology they need and what the fee is. You can create events on social platforms and then promote them and invite people to join. You can also promote the event on free community calendars.

It is important to not get frustrated or down if no one takes advantage of your offering right away. It usually takes roughly seven times before someone will sign up for a new offering. So be sure to get in front of them seven times if you want to harvest the seeds you are planting. Rather than wondering how many new customers you will get, focus on how many seeds you are planting that will one day come to harvest.
